Payments lets you take card payments into your own Stripe account: invoices, deposits when people book, donations, gift cards, and payments in person.
- Go to Settings, then Plan, billing, and add-ons. Under Add-ons, choose Set it up next to Payments.
- Choose Turn on payments. We show you the price and what you're charged today first.
- Choose Connect Stripe. Stripe's form starts filled in with what your site already says: your business's name, address, phone, email, website, and what you sell. Check those, then add your identity and bank details. If you already have a Stripe account, you can use it.
- When Stripe has checked your details (usually a few minutes), Payouts and payment settings says you're ready.
Payments is $5 a month (or $60 a year on a yearly plan), added to your plan. You can turn it off anytime.
Your money goes straight to your Stripe account, and Stripe pays it out to your bank. We don't take a cut. Stripe charges its usual card fees, and you handle refunds and disputes in your own Stripe dashboard, or here.
Payouts and payment settings shows what's on its way to your bank and your recent payouts.
To set payments up by conversation, go to Payouts and payment settings and choose Start under Set up payments by conversation. Say what you need in your own words, like whether you want a deposit when people book, and how much. We suggest what's common for a business like yours, show you a summary, and change nothing until you choose Apply these changes.
If you sell online, Payouts and payment settings also shows how to turn on Stripe Tax in your Stripe dashboard and add the states where you're registered to collect sales tax, so sales tax on online orders is worked out for where each order goes. See Sales tax online.
