If you serve food, customers can order from your menu on your website, for pickup or your own delivery, as soon as possible or for a later time.
- Turn on the online store (see Selling online).
- Add your weekly opening hours in Settings, then Business details, if they aren't there already. Customers can order only while you're open, so ordering needs your hours.
- Go to Sales, then Online store settings. Under Orders from your menu, choose Bring my menu over.
- Check your menu. Each part of your menu becomes a category, and each item a product with its price and photo. Where an item has more than one price (like "$12 / $15"), each price becomes a choice, and you name each one (for example, Small and Large). Prices with words, like "From $9", are marked for you to check, with the amount filled in. If we couldn't read a price, enter it. Untick anything you don't want to sell online. Choose Bring it over.
- Enter how many minutes it takes to get an order ready, and how many days ahead customers can order (7 to start; 0 means today only).
- Choose Take orders from my menu, then Save.
The menu on your website now comes from your products, with an Order button on each item. Change your menu in Sales, then Products and inventory, and your website shows the change a few minutes later.
To set it up by conversation, use Set up your store by conversation in Online store settings and say how long orders take and how far ahead people can order. If your opening hours aren't added yet, we ask you to add them first. We change nothing until you choose Apply these changes.
