When your domain is brand new, some of your first emails may land in the other person's spam folder, even when everything is set up correctly. Email services like Gmail and Outlook are careful with addresses they have not seen before, and a new domain has no history yet. Your domain already has the settings that prove your emails really come from you, so this usually fades within a few weeks of normal use.
What helps:
- Set your name in your email app, so people see who the message is from, not just your address.
- Ask people to mark your message "Not spam" if it lands there. That tells their email service your messages are wanted.
- Ask the people you write to often to add your address to their contacts.
- Send normal messages over time: real conversations with customers and people you know. In your first weeks, avoid sending the same message to many people at once, or messages that are only a link or an attachment.
If your emails still go to spam after a few weeks, email support@instantimpact.io and we'll check your setup.
